Operation and Maintenance of YA Circular Vibrating Screen


1.Before starting up circular vibrating screen, please check whether the fastening bolts are loose or not, if there is looseness,please tighten at once.
2.Non-load running for 4 to 6 hours to achieve the requirements of smooth screen body , no yaw and abnormal sound , the vibrator bearing temperature is less than or equal to 75℃.
3.After non-load running, please tighten the screw bolt again.
4.Once the operation becomes normal, check the fixture condition of the fastening bolts regularly.
5.Check the wearing parts frequently, the damping spring which is damaged spring or without elasticity,please replace timely. If the screen occurs fracture or wear, please tighten or replace the spring at once. The adjustment,use and maintenance of vibration source, please refer to vibration source instructions. (please oil the vibration motor after using for 3 months, oil the exciter every month, repair every half year, overhaul every year).
6.Stop feeding the material before stopping running the machine, stop the machine after the material on screen surface are completely discharged.

Generally speaking, screw conveyor is not easy to occur blocking phenomenon in the outlet, it can run at a low speed, reduce the energy consumption, design with a long conveying distance. However, when convey life garbage and organic plant, it may cause the damage of screw blade.
Thicker spiral blade will be anti- wear and durable, it is suitable for conveying materials, screw blade mainly wears in the blade edge.The farther the screw blade away from the axis of rotation, the larger the force it will bear and the more the cracks it will form.

Those days, our Philippine customer ordered stainless steel U type screw conveyors. Taking texture of material into consideration, we make a acid pickling and passivation fabrication processing to screw conveyor. Here PK Machinery will introduce you the application of pickling technology.
In the machining process of stainless steel, it will present scale cinder with black or yellow color. In order to improve appearance and stain resistance of stainless steel, it’s better to make a acid pickling and passivation fabrication treatment after processing it. Through this kind of technology processing, it can remove scale cinder which caused by weld or high-temperature processing and make it brighter. And it also can generate oxidation film that will prevent stainless steel from oxygen corrosion again so that can improve anti corrosion quality of stainless steel products and extend machine’s lifespan.

What is pickling technology? It is a way to clean metallic surface which adopts acid solution to remove scale cinder or corrosion sediments on stainless steel surface. Metallic surface will become silver-white color and be passivated after pickling. At the same, it can improve anti-corrosion capacity of stainless steel. At the present stage, it always takes long time to remove scale cinder by pickling and causes high processing cost. Taking this situation into consideration, users have better adopt quick pickling process in a normal temperature. This way can have a good influence on corrosion sediments and eliminate thick scale cinder quickly. Also, it can make metallic surface brighter and undefiled after pickling. What’s more, metallic surface will be not easy to have gloss loss, color fading or yellow discolouration.

Do You Really Know the Safe Installation of Bucket Elevator


1.The bucket elevator must be securely mounted on a solid concrete foundation. Concrete foundation surface should be flat and present as a horizontal state to ensure well-installed bucket elevator can achieve vertical requirements. Middle and upper casing section of a higher height bucket elevator should be connected with the neighbouring buildings in order to increase its stability. Firstly, please install the lower part, fix the anchor bolt, and then install the middle casing and upper casing. After complete the installation, please adjust and correct the vertical height, upper and lower shaft should be parallel to each other, and shafts should be in the same plane. When install the bucket elevator with a lower height , you can connect the upper ,middle and lower casing well first on the ground, and then hang the complete set vertically and fix it on the concrete foundation.

2. After completing the installation of casing, you can install the chain and bucket. The u-shape screw which is used for connect the buckets, it is not only a chain connector, but also a fixture of buckets. U-screw nuts must be tighten and locked securely, after the installation of chain and bucket, please adjust it to get a proper tension. 
3.Add the appropriate amount of oil or grease in the gearbox and bearing respectively, reducer should be lubricated with industrial gear oil, bearing seat can be lubricated with calcium or sodium base grease.

When using the belt conveyor, less daily check and maintenance or do not pay attention to maintenance will greatly reduce the service life of the belt conveyor, when the belt conveyor problems occur, it will affect the work efficiency, so regular inspection for belt conveyor parts is needed.
Daily check
Mechanical items: inspect the guardrail, bridge, roller, pulley, turnabout pulley and belt.
Electrical items: inspect the anti-skid device, deviation switch, emergency stop switch, tear detection device, anti-reverse device.

Weekly check
Mechanical items: inspect the driving wheel, guide wheel section, reducer, inspect the machine's tail, check tensioning device and pull rope device.
Electrical items: inspect the main motor, inverter, filter, repair and inspect the main transformer wiring, electrical control, power system.
Monthly check
Mechanical items: inspect the rope wheel, transition wheel, guide wheel, driving wheel, belt wheel, tensioning car and check the oiling.
Electrical items: inspect the fastening bolts, fast switch; the maintenance and repair of commutator, limit protection, emergency stop protection and the alarm system.

Difference between Tapered self-aligning roller and Friction self-aligning roller


Tapered self-aligning roller is similar with Friction self-aligning roller in structure which are mentioned when introduce the belt conveyor, their purpose is protecting belt and preventing belt deviation. However, in the process of actual use, there is a big difference between them.
The main difference:

1.Stability performance: these two kinds of roller have their own advantages and disadvantages. Tapered self-aligning roller provides a more stable transport environment for belt and material, but since the tapered roller with a certain angle, if carries the material for a long time, it will increase the radial offset of roller. While friction self-aligning roller has a stable structure so that it can carry material for a long time and won’t be influenced. but there is a certain angle between belt and roller due to design of friction pulley, the joint degree of friction self-aligning roller is lower than tapered self-aligning roller, which will reduce the stability performance of belt conveyor.
2.Friction coefficient: concerning this aspect, tapered self-aligning roller has advantage over the friction self-aligning roller, tapered self-aligning roller has a special body design of roller, it could extremely increase joint degree of belt and roller to make the belt adapt to tapered roller, it also greatly reduce the force of friction.

3.Sealing Performance: the sealing performance of friction self-aligning roller is better than tapered self-aligning roller, the friction one adopts the design with independent installation of the friction pulley to promise a good sealing performance, however, because tapered self-aligning roller has a different diameter of pipe, it increase the difficulty of seal, meanwhile, performance of seal is also reduced.
4.Production cost: the structure and technology of tapered self-aligning roller are much simpler, so the cost is low, but if in the long run of using, the friction self-aligning roller is more stable and durable.

Follow the Right Operation of Fixed Belt Conveyor, Otherwise Accident will Occur

1.Fixed belt conveyor should be fixed in accordance with the specified installation methods on the foundation;
2.Before start-up ,please check all the moving parts of belt conveyor, such as if belt buckles and bearing device is normal, if the protective device is complete, if the belt tensioning condition is adjusted properly before start-up;
3. Fixed belt conveyor should no-load start up, only when operation is normal, can you feed the material, feed material before starting up the conveyor is not allowed;
4. when units of belt conveyor operate in series, please start from the discharged end in order, only when the operation is normal ,can you feed the material;

5. When belt deviation appeared in the operation of the belt conveyor, please stop the conveyor and adjust timely, so as not to wear edges and increase the load;
6. The work environment and material temperature should not be higher than 50℃ and lower than -10 ℃;
7. The conveyor must not convey people, and people is not allowed to stand under the conveyor;
8. Stop feeding material before stopping the conveyor, only after stored materials are discharged completely you can stop the conveyor;
9. Belt conveyor motor must be in good insulation;
10.Do not use your hand to pull the belt in order to avoid accidents when belt slips.

The Operation Specification of Vibration Platform

Using Introduction:
1. Before installing the vibration platform, please lay a good foundation, then install it, when installation, the fixed bolts must be tightened.
2. Before test run the well-installed vibration table, first 3-5 minutes start-up to check all the fastening bolts, if loose, should be tightened.
3. In the process, concrete products should be firmly fixed on the vibration table, and be symmetrical with the platform to balance the load. Users can design their own vibrated product fastening device according to their needs.
4. Vibrator bearings should be inspected and cleaned regularly and maintain a good lubrication of the bearing to prolong the service life of the vibrator.
5. Vibration table should be reliable grounded to ensure safety.

Operating Regulations:
1. Before using the vibration platform, 3 ~ 5 min non-load test first, then stop and tighten all fastening parts, 2 ~ 3 times repeatedly, it can be put into operation.
2. When using vibration table, the test mode of concrete specimens must be securely fixed on the working platform. In order to balance the load, test mode must be placed symmetrically with the center line of the table.。 
3. Vibration motor should be grounded well and reliably.

4. In the production process, if vibration table sound is abnormal, please stop using immediately, unplug the power and fully inspect whether the fasteners are loose or not, check whether the inner eccentric vibration block of motor is loose or damaged, if necessary, tighten the loose parts and replace the damaged parts.
5. After using, please turn off the power, clean the vibration table surface.

Recently, most of manufacturers choose spiral classifier and pressure filter to dehydrate potash feldspar during dehydration process. But there are some disadvantages, spiral classifier cannot classify materials completely and pressure filter needs large investment. What’s more, if users adopt spiral classifier to deal with the separation of residue water during the production of potash feldspar, it will cause the finished materials containing too much water so that the materials cannot be dry heaping. It is found that if users adopt dewatering screen instead of spiral classifier, the water content of potash feldspar will be less than 15% after dewatering by dewatering screen and the materials can achieve dry heaping effect. Furthermore, it can increase recovery rate of finished products because the dewatering screen can elect fine sand which will lose caused by spiral classifier.

There are two applications for dewatering screen used in beneficiation process of potash feldspar, one is used for classification of potash feldspar which is processed by ball mill, another is used for dewatering of potash feldspar products. In the traditional production process, it always uses pressure filter to deal with this kind of materials during the dewatering process of potash feldspar products. But this kind of production technical has large energy consumption, lower working efficiency and higher water content. While if users adopt dewatering screen to deal with potash feldspar, it can improve the production efficiency greatly, also can reduce energy consumption and floor space.

Application and Difference of Shaft and Shaftless Trommel Screen

There are 2 kinds structure of trommel screen. One is trommel screen with shaft, the other is shaftless trommel screen. Generally both of them can be applied in some common bulk material, however, for material with special property, we must pay more attention to select a more suitable model according to the application working condition.
Trommel screen with shaft: 
The drum is installed aslope on the main frame. The motor and gearbox connect the drum through a coupling and rotates around an axis. After the material fed into the drum, the material can move forward and rotate due to the inclination and rotation of drum. The qualified material will be discharged from the bottom hopper, and the unqualified material will be discharged from the end outlet. As the material rotates in the drum, which make the blocked material bounced out of the aperture to prevent the mesh blocking.
Trommel screen with shaft is generally used for screening granular material with large density, such as: sand, coal, limestone, fertilizer, compost and mineral, etc.

Shaftless trommel screen: 
The shaftless trommel screen is installed horizontally. The drum is rotated driven by motor wheel gear or motor chain. Generally the rotate speed is very slow and the drum length can be designed longer, which can increase the screening efficiency. In the drum internal wall, there is a delivery plate ( sometimes screw type) to make the material move forward. The material which is larger than mesh size will be discharged at the end outlet, and the material which is smaller than mesh size will be discharged at the bottom discharge hopper. If the material is household garbage, we can also add a cutting tool, which can rive some plactis bags, etc. 
Shaftless tromme screen is generally used for screeninig material with small density, such as: waste, wooden chips, activated carbon, fertilizer, construction material, chemical material, etc.

The problem of vibration which cannot meet the vibration motor in the running of the equipment, also can never be solved, that is uneven and unbalance of the vibration. The influence of the unbalanced vibration in the screening equipment is less, while the influence will often appear in making the vibration table. However in the reality, the unbalanced force of vibration equipment is often neglected by us.
1. In the use of a single vibration motor on the vibration table, it can appear the problem of motor rotation, the material will move on the surface of vibration table.
2. In the use two vibrating motors, it will change the uniform vibration point of the vibration table. Due to counter rotation of two motors , it will offset the power in the middle of the vibration table. If the vibration amplitude around the platform is 5mm, the vibration amplitude in the center of the table can't be over 3mm.

Recently, 3 bucket elevators have been arrived in Australia and started to install on site. However, our customer is wondering about the function and installation position of the asbestos tape during the installation. So in this article we will introduce the function and installation method of asbestos tape.

Asbestos consists of fibre bundle, fibre bundle consists of fibres which are thin and long shape and separated with each other. Asbestos has the advantage property of highly fire-resistance, electric insulation and heat-resistance etc. The asbestos tape is made of superior asbestos which is applied for sealing material for all kind of equipment, heat-resistant material or other asbestos products.

The installation quality of the bucket elevator requires a good sealing property. Asbestos tape is the most common sealing material for bucket elevator. It not only can prevent powder escape and environment pollution, but also can reduce material waste. The installation position of the asbestos tape is at the joint between the casing flanges. Before connecting the flanges, we should add the asbestos tape between the flanges, then connect it with bolts. Please check the following picture as your reference.
